Opening the Studio

• Sign in at Volunteer Central.
• Turn on the heat, put on some music.
• Set up the two sandwich board signs on the sidewalk at either end of the alley. (There's a dolly next to the door that you can use to move the signs).
• Take a look around the Studio to see that the rooms are in order: take care of trash, materials left out overnight, etc.
• Check the restrooms for cleanliness: sweep the floor of bits of paper; clean sinks and mirrors; re-supply toilet paper and paper towels; empty waste baskets.
• Check the paint washroom, next to the women's restroom, for paint cups and brushes left to dry overnight; put them back into place so they're ready for the day's use.
